Engadini creates gardens that work around your life, bring edible and ornamental planting together, and support wildlife without compromising on how the space looks.
What Engadini Offers
At Engadini, how you experience your garden shapes every design decision. Whether you're creating a new garden, refreshing an established space or simply looking for expert guidance, each service is designed to meet you where you are. Most design services are also available remotely, offering the same thoughtful, personal approach wherever you are.

From £200
If you're not ready for, or don't need, a complete redesign of your garden, this is a good place to start. Together we'll explore how you're using your garden now, how you'd like to use it in the future, and the opportunities your space offers. You'll receive practical recommendations, clear priorities and a written summary to help you move forward with confidence, whether that's on your own or as part of a larger project.
-
From £500
Planting has the power to transform a garden, bringing structure, colour and seasonal interest while supporting wildlife and reflecting the way you want to use your space. I'll create a detailed planting plan tailored to your garden, taking into account soil, aspect, maintenance commitment and your personal preferences. You'll receive a scaled planting plan, plant schedule and sourcing guidance to help bring the design to life.
-
From £1,500
Whether you're starting with a blank canvas or reimagining an existing garden, this service provides a complete design from first ideas through to detailed plans. Together we'll develop a garden that feels right for you and your home, supported by scaled drawings, visualisations, technical information and a planting plan that gives you or your chosen contractor everything needed to create it with confidence.

Priced on assessment
Gardens continue to evolve long after planting day. Whether you're looking for regular maintenance, seasonal care or occasional support, I offer thoughtful garden maintenance that helps your garden flourish while respecting its original design. If you'd like to become more confident in your own gardening, collaborative sessions are also available, working alongside you in the garden rather than simply working for you.
Engadini means "in the garden" in Ndebele. I'm Daina Phiri, a trained garden designer and Mental Health Nurse based in Sydenham, South East London. Inspired by a childhood spent watching my grandfather grow food in Zimbabwe, and years of tending my own garden and allotment here in London, I design and care for gardens that are beautiful, productive and shaped around the people who use them.
About Engadini
Every garden begins with a conversation. Tell me a little about your garden and what you're hoping to achieve, and I'll be in touch to discuss how I can help.
